We are able to use have to + infinitive, should + infinitive and will + infinitive to express obligation (one thing it's a must to do).
- Youngsters need to go to highschool.
- I do not should work on Sundays.
- You don't need to eat anything you don't love.
- I must research at this time.
- You mustn't smoke right here.
- It is best to save some money.
- You should not smoke a lot.
report this adBe careful about the difference between mustn't and don't have to!
Mustn't means it is not allowed, or it is a unhealthy idea:
- You mustn't eat so much chocolate, you may be sick
- I do not must rise up early at the weekend(of course, if I want to rise up early, that's high-quality, but I can stay in bed if I want).
- I needed to put on a school uniform when I was a child.
- We did not have to go to highschool on Saturdays.
- You must have gone to bed earlier, now you have missed the practice.
- You should not have taken that job., it was a bad idea.
* Remember 'will need to have done' is a modal verb of deduction or speculation, pens.ac.id not obligation previously. For example: Julie should have left. Her coat's not here. See modals of probabilty for extra info.
