Transitive and Intransitive Verbs

Transitive verbs will need to have a direct object:

- I enjoyed the occasion pens.ac.id (NOT: I enjoyed).


- William likes chocolate (NOT: William likes).


- They arrived.


- The youngsters are sleeping.


- John ate the pizza (transitive).
- John ate (intransitive).


- I see the mountains (see = see along with your eyes, transitive).
- I see (see = understand, intransitive).
