'A Little', 'Little', 'A few' And 'Few'

We use 'a/an' with a number of quantifiers: - a little
- a few
- a lot (of)


- little
- few
- heaps (of)


Once we say 'a little' or 'a few', we mean a small quantity, however it's enough: - John: Let's go out tonight.
- Lucy: Okay. I have a little money, sufficient for the cinema a minimum of.


- John: Let's go out tonight.
- Lucy: Sorry, I've little money. I really can't afford to go out.


- There have been few problems with the brand new system, thankfully!
- Fortunately, there's little crime in my town.
- I am so happy that I've few arguments with my household.
- It is nice that there's been very little unhealthy weather this month.
