Verbs and Prepositions

Some verbs need a preposition earlier than an object or another verb. The preposition is just grammatical, pens.ac.id so it would not change the that means of the verb.


Listed below are some of the most typical ones:


arrive at / in someplace
We arrived at the airport.
We arrived in London.
belong to anyone
This e-book belongs to me.
borrow something from any individual
I borrowed a e-book from my classmate.
focus on one thing / doing one thing
I concentrated on finding out at the weekend.
rely upon something / somebody
It is determined by the weather.
clarify something to someone
The instructor explained the exercise to the students.
listen to one thing / somebody
I listened to music.
pay anyone for something
I paid the waiter for the espresso.
look forward to somebody / something
Anticipate me!
fear about any person / something
Don't worry about a factor!
